Clementine, a sheltered 13-year-old, ends up sucked into a retro video game when her mom drags her to her job at the Cursed Objects Research Lab. Clementine thinks this is awesome, however her overprotective mom is a lot less enthusiastic. The art is very cute. However, there seems to be an issue with screen border collision detection - when the character falls out of the screen boundaries, the game freezes. Also there is too much text at the beginning of the game. It would be better to add character portraits/avatars to show who is speaking during the dialogues.

I did forget to put boundaries outside the screen. Thank you for catching that. So sorry the game froze on you. I had wanted to add a press R to restart the level option because I felt like there were going to be a lot of potential issues, but  I only got to add it for level one and never even got to mention it in the controls :(

This jam had a strict color palette, so every asset I added had to be either recolored or made from scratch, so I did not get to add many visuals to the lab scene and it took a lot of time from the rest of development.
